Caring Hands Adult Day Care Center

The + was taking the time to fully understand all aspects of the job, identify any challenges and communicate feasible solutions to the out-of-state owner and design team in real-time throughout the project.

KasCon led the construction of this large adult daycare facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This metal building was previously home to a furniture store with minimal infrastructure appropriate for healthcare and education assembly spaces. The project itself showcases new attractions for adult daycare visitors such as a commercial kitchen and cafeteria, open gym with a basketball hoop, medical observation rooms, reading dens with built-in fireplaces, a hair salon, computer gaming areas and many others. The exterior of the building was refreshed by special ordering custom metal extrusion panels to replace the siding that had been damaged in the past. KasCon wrapped the corners of the building in an EIFS finish and applied fresh paint to all exterior metal surfaces before replacing the gutters and adding building signage. A new exterior sidewalk with embedded plantings and vehicle drop-off area was added for the convenience of day care visitors.
