Culta – Columbia Cannabis Dispensary
The + was working diligently with the client to find the ideal location and hire an architect and MEP design team that could expedite the construction drawing design and permit application process to meet a very aggressive timeline.
KasCon collaborated with Culta, a Maryland owned and operated craft cannabis cultivation, processing and dispensary company, to open their new medical and adult-use dispensary in Columbia, MD. From interviewing and hiring an architect at the start of the project, to passing final inspections – KasCon was there every step of the way. KasCon transformed a former battery store into a state-of-the-art cannabis dispensary with quality air control, air filtration and exhaust as well as enhanced lighting and security. The front of house showcases a comfortable reception area with glass walls and transaction window for easy patient check-in. The salesroom features decorative millwork, solid surface countertops and television menus, black acoustical ceilings, LED Lighting, and painted slat wall to display product. The back-of-the house includes a secure vault with 12’ drywall ceilings and UPS for security backup, a manager’s office, locker area, restroom and breakroom. KasCon worked hard to meet an aggressive schedule that allowed Culta to open quickly and take advantage of changing regulations and increased market demand.
